🏕️ Minecraft Abandoned Camp Finder 26.3 Experimental

Locate every abandoned camp on your Minecraft 26.3 seed — the new surface campsites with wool-stair tents, loot barrels, copper-gear chests and the rare hidden oxidized copper chest. Positions computed in your browser from the official placement parameters.

✅ Updated for the 26.3 release: Minecraft 26.3 (Wilderness Bound) shipped on 15 September 2026 and Mojang changed camp spacing from 34 to 37 chunks. This finder reproduces Mojang's own placement rule from the 26.3 release data. On three seeds we had never tested it against, it found every camp that exists (158 of 158) with a single false positive — see our accuracy reports.

What Generates in an Abandoned Camp?

Abandoned camps are small surface structures added in the Minecraft 26.3 autumn drop. Each camp centers on a tent built from the new wool stairs, pitched on dirt paths with oak-fence framing, and comes with:

Camps generate in 18 biomes, each with its own themed variant: forest, birch forest, old-growth birch forest, flower forest, taiga, snowy taiga, old-growth pine and spruce taiga, meadow, savanna, swamp, sparse jungle, bamboo jungle, windswept forest, wooded badlands, cherry grove, pale garden, and the brand-new dappled forest.

How This Finder Works

Camp placement uses Mojang's random-spread algorithm (one attempt per 37×37-chunk region) with the official salt from the game's own data files. We compute those positions with our cubiomes-based engine and then verify the biome at each position, keeping only camps that can actually generate. The math runs entirely in your browser — your seed never leaves your device.

Verification: We swept 8,000×8,000 blocks with RCON /locate on official 26.3 release dedicated servers and compared every camp the game generates against every camp we predict. The number that matters is the three seeds we did not use while working out the rule: 158 of the 158 camps that exist, found (100% recall), with one false positive out of 159 predictions (99.4% precision). On the three seeds we did use, 188 of 188 with no false positives. We get there by reproducing the game's actual rule — the tent's rotation is drawn from the world seed, and the biome test scans the whole column at the tent's centre — rather than sampling a single point. Existing structure types stay at 96–98% verified accuracy on the same harness.
