Minecraft Java 26.3 — Wilderness Bound, released September 15, 2026 — adds the dappled forest (autumn poplars, red shrubs, shelf mushrooms), the abandoned camp structure across 18 biomes, wool and concrete stairs and slabs, straw beds and cushions. Both of the new headline features change what a good seed looks like, so we scanned 4,000 fresh worlds on release-day world generation and verified the best twelve on Mojang's own server.

🍂 Dappled Forest Seeds
The dappled forest is the headline biome of Wilderness Bound: poplar trees in red, orange and yellow, red shrubs, leaf litter and shelf mushrooms, tucked against the colder parts of the map. It is not common, so these three seeds put one within walking distance of spawn.
1. Dappled Forest at Spawn, Ancient City Below Dappled
🌑 Ancient city at 64, 224, only 233 blocks out
⛺ Abandoned camp at 0, -256, a second one at 208, 352
🌸 Cherry grove at 72, 136 · ruined portal at 144, 112
⚔️ Trial chambers at 192, -288 · villages at 368, 32 and -192, -320
This is the seed to load if you want to see what the update actually looks like. Spawn lands you in the new biome, so the first screenshot is already an autumn forest, and the cherry grove 143 blocks away gives you pink and orange side by side. Underneath it all, an ancient city sits close enough to reach on day one with a staircase mine. Two abandoned camps within 420 blocks mean you can pick up the new camp loot before you have even built a proper base.
2. Camp, Chambers and Autumn Woods Dappled
⛺ Abandoned camp at -176, 96 — the closest camp of any seed here at 240 blocks
⚔️ Trial chambers at 48, 208, a second set at 184, -296
🌸 Cherry grove at -104, 88 · ruined portal at 208, 144
🏘️ Villages at 368, -192 and -368, 224
A compact starter world: the new biome, a new camp and a trial chamber are all inside a 260-block circle, with a cherry grove filling the gap between them. The ancient city here is a long trek at 648 blocks, so treat this one as a surface-first seed — camp loot early, chambers next, deep dark much later.
3. Ruined Portal Doorstep Dappled
🍂 Dappled forest at -152, 168 · cherry grove at -152, 8
⛺ Abandoned camp at 176, 176
🏘️ Villages at 208, -144 and -240, -256
⚔️ Trial chambers at 176, 320
The ruined portal is essentially at spawn, which makes this the fastest Nether start on the list — grab the obsidian and gold, then come back for the camp and the two villages. West of spawn the map turns pink and orange, with a cherry grove and a dappled forest almost adjacent.
⛺ Abandoned Camp Seeds
Abandoned camps are the new surface structure: a wool-stair tent, straw beds and cushions, chests and barrels with biome-specific loot, and a hidden second chest worth searching for. They come in 18 biome variants. Mojang widened camp spacing from 34 to 37 chunks in the release, so camp coordinates copied from snapshot-era lists no longer land on anything — every camp below was confirmed on the release server.
4. Camp 138 Blocks from Spawn Camp
👻 Pale garden at -24, -72, essentially at spawn
🌑 Ancient city at 48, -224 · ruined portal at 80, 304
⚔️ Trial chambers at 272, 32 · pillager outpost at 224, 192
🏘️ Village at -176, -240
If you only load one seed to see the new camp, make it this one. You can walk to it in under two minutes, and it sits between a pale garden and an ancient city, so the first hour covers the creaking, the deep dark and the new loot tables without a single long journey.
5. Village, Camp and Mangrove Camp
⛺ Abandoned camp at 176, 128, a second one at 64, -320
🌀 Ruined portal at 16, 112 · trial chambers at 288, 80
🌳 Mangrove swamp at -152, 168
🏜️ Desert pyramid at -176, -512 · second village at -160, 288
A gentle survival start: beds and food from the village within a minute, a camp just past it, and a ruined portal in between. The mangrove swamp to the west gives you mud and mangrove wood early, which pairs well with the camp's wool and straw for building.
6. Desert Temple, Badlands and a Camp Camp
🟤 Badlands at 72, 8, right next to spawn
⛺ Abandoned camp at 224, 112
⚔️ Trial chambers at 256, 112 · ancient city at 64, -304
🏘️ Villages at 144, 192 and -256, 304
Terracotta canyons start at spawn and a desert temple sits under 180 blocks away, with a village next to it for beds. The camp and the trial chambers are a stone's throw apart, so one trip east covers both. Two temples in one seed also means plenty of TNT for the mines.
🏆 All-Rounder Seeds
These are the seeds we would hand to someone starting their first 26.3 world: everything worth visiting is inside the first exploration radius.
7. Four Structures Inside 280 Blocks All-Rounder
⚔️ Trial chambers at 144, 128 — 193 blocks · more at 184, -216 and -248, 200
🌀 Ruined portal at 160, 96 · ⛺ abandoned camp at -256, 96
🏔️ Frozen peaks at -152, -152 · 🌸 cherry grove at 328, -120
🏘️ Villages at -336, 48 and 80, 384
The densest seed we found in this scan: an ancient city, a trial chamber and a ruined portal all inside 200 blocks, with a camp and two villages just beyond. Snow peaks on one horizon and cherry trees on the other make it look good while you do it.
8. Cherry Spawn Over a Deep Dark All-Rounder
🌑 Ancient city at -176, 176 — 249 blocks · a second one at 240, 112
🏔️ Frozen peaks at 168, 40
🏘️ Village at 128, -224 · ⛺ abandoned camp at -352, 48
⚔️ Trial chambers at -240, -304 · ruined portal at 272, 320
Pink trees at your feet, snow-capped peaks 160 blocks east, and two ancient cities within 270 blocks in opposite directions. A good seed for players who want the scenery of a build world and the loot of a progression world without choosing between them.
👻 Pale Garden & Badlands Seeds
9. Pale Garden at Spawn, Peaks Next Door Pale Garden
🏔️ Jagged peaks at 104, 8, 96 blocks away
🌑 Ancient city at 240, 16 · 🌀 ruined portal at 160, 64
🏛️ Trail ruins at 80, -288 · a second set at -184, -280
⚔️ Trial chambers at -208, -240 · ⛺ camp at -288, 304 next to a pillager outpost at -320, 304
The pale garden wraps around spawn and the jagged peaks rise immediately behind it, which is an unusual and very photogenic pairing. Trail ruins are rare and this seed has two sets. Note the camp and the outpost 30 blocks apart — bring a shield.
10. Badlands Canyons and Three Villages Badlands
⚔️ Trial chambers at 160, 80 — 187 blocks
🏘️ Three villages: -320, -160, 304, 160 and -352, 0
⛺ Abandoned camp at -352, 192 · 🌀 ruined portal at 80, -336
🌑 Ancient city at -256, -352
Three villages inside 360 blocks make this the trading seed of the list — enough villagers to build a proper hall without relocating anybody far. The badlands to the north give you terracotta in sixteen colours, and the trial chambers are close enough to farm from your first base.
🏰 Woodland Mansion Seeds
Mansions are the rarest structure on this list — in our scan of 4,000 seeds only 18 had one within 600 blocks of spawn. Both of these do.
11. Mansion, Ancient City and a Pale Garden Mansion
🌑 Ancient city at 48, 144 — 152 blocks · a second one at -176, 384
👻 Pale garden at 8, 104 · 🏔️ jagged peaks at 104, 72
🌀 Ruined portal at 0, 96 — 96 blocks
⛺ Abandoned camp at 32, -320 · ⚔️ trial chambers at -336, 160
A mansion inside 450 blocks would be enough on its own; this seed also drops an ancient city 152 blocks from spawn and a pale garden in between. The portal, the city and the pale garden are all within a hundred blocks of each other, so the first base practically places itself.
12. Mansion and Chambers, Quiet Start Mansion
⚔️ Trial chambers at 160, 208 — 229 blocks · more at 240, -352
⛺ Abandoned camp at -176, 224
🌀 Ruined portal at 128, 272
🏘️ Village at 32, -368
A calmer seed: no ancient city nearby, but a mansion, a camp, two trial chambers and a village all sit in a comfortable ring around spawn. Good for a long survival run where you want targets left to find.
🔧 How to Use These Seeds in Minecraft 26.3
Creating a New World with a Specific Seed
- From the title screen choose Singleplayer → Create New World.
- Open the World tab and paste the seed into the Seed for the world generator field.
- Keep default world generation settings (no data packs that alter world gen) and create the world.
Press F3 in-game to see your coordinates and navigate to the listed positions. Structure coordinates point at the structure's origin corner — the building itself extends from there, so expect to find it within a few dozen blocks.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Minecraft 26.3 ("Wilderness Bound")?
Minecraft Java Edition 26.3, nicknamed Wilderness Bound, was released on September 15, 2026. It adds the dappled forest biome — autumn-coloured poplars, red shrubs, leaf litter and shelf mushrooms — the abandoned camp structure with 18 biome variants, plus wool and concrete stairs and slabs, straw beds and cushions.
Do Minecraft 26.2 seeds still work in 26.3?
Only partly. The dappled forest is new, so parts of the colder forest regions of any seed are now a different biome than they were in 26.2, and abandoned camps did not exist at all. Villages, temples, ancient cities and other older structures keep their positions — but if a 26.2 seed list sold you on a particular forest, check it again in 26.3 before you commit.
Did abandoned camp positions change in the 26.3 release?
Yes, and this catches a lot of lists out. Mojang widened camp spacing from 34 to 37 chunks between snapshot 4 and the release, which moves nearly every camp in the world. Coordinates published during the snapshot period are wrong for the release version. We re-derived ours from the release data files and confirmed them on the official server.
How were these seeds verified?
We scanned 4,000 candidate seeds with cubiomes (the open-source world-gen library), picked twelve, then generated each one on Mojang's official Java 26.3 dedicated server and checked every structure with /locate. 73 of 74 checks matched exactly; one trail ruins claim 769 blocks from spawn did not, and we removed it rather than publish it.
Do these seeds work on Bedrock Edition?
No. Java and Bedrock use completely different world generation algorithms, so the same seed produces entirely different worlds. Everything here is verified for Java 26.3.
